Day 1: Arrival & Birding En Route to Latpanchar
Arrive at New Jalpaiguri Junction or Bagdogra Airport. Meet our representative and begin your
journey toward the tranquil mountain village of Latpanchar.
Enjoy birding stops en route, targeting foothill and mid-altitude species.
Upon arrival, check in to your homestay, followed by lunch.
Late-afternoon birding around Latpanchar.

Day 2: Full-Day Birding at Latpanchar
Spend the entire day exploring the forests and trails around Latpanchar—one of the prime
birding hotspots of the Eastern Himalayas and home to the iconic Rufous-necked Hornbill.
Expect excellent opportunities to photograph and observe a wide variety of species in their
natural habitat.

Day 3: Full-Day Birding & Hide Photography
Today is dedicated to both field birding and a hide-based photography session.
Enjoy close-up encounters with shy and rare Himalayan species, ideal for capturing high-quality
images.

Day 4: Birdwatching Excursion in Latpanchar
Another full day to explore deeper sections of Latpanchar’s forests, targeting species you may
have missed earlier.
Flexible trails and birding spots will be chosen based on sightings and bird activity.

Day 5: Transfer to Ghoom via Birding at Senchal
Early morning departure for Senchal Wildlife Sanctuary with birding stops and breakfast en
route.
After reaching Ghoom, check in to your homestay and enjoy lunch.
Afternoon birding around the surrounding trails.

Day 6: Full-Day Birding at Senchal Wildlife Sanctuary
Experience a full day at Senchal WLS, one of the oldest protected areas in India, known for
high-elevation Himalayan birds.
Your guide will choose the day’s trails based on weather and seasonal movement.
Return to Ghoom in the evening.
Overnight at Ghoom.
Day 7: Birding at Ghoom & Transfer to Rongtong
Begin the day with early morning birding around the homestay.
After breakfast, depart for Rongtong, birding along the route.
Arrive and check in at the Sukuna Homestay in the foothills near Sukna.
Overnight at Sukuna Homestay.
Day 8: Rongtong Birding & Departure
Enjoy a full morning birding session in Rongtong—an excellent low- to mid-altitude habitat with
rich species diversity.
After lunch or as per your schedule, proceed to NJP/Bagdogra for your onward journey.
