Day-by-Day Journey

Day 1: Arrival – Bagdogra to Latpanchar (≈ 65 km / 2.5 hrs)

Pickup from Bagdogra Airport / NJP Railway Station.
Scenic drive via Kalijhora, with en-route birding (foothill and riverine species).
Lunch at Latpanchar homestay.
Afternoon birding around Latpanchar forest trails.
Overnight at Latpanchar.
BagdograAirport to Latpanchar 53 k.m (approx 2.5 hours)

Day 2: Full-Day Birding at Latpanchar

Morning birding in Mahananda WLS upper ranges – hornbill territories.
Afternoon along forest edges & village trails.
Target species: Rufous-necked Hornbill, Red-headed Trogon, Sultan Tit,
Laughingthrushes, Minivets.
Overnight at Latpanchar.
All meals will be at the homestay

Day 3: Excursion to Mana Hills (≈ 18 km / 45 mins one way)

Early morning transfer to Mana Hills – higher elevation habitat. On the way breakfast.
Target species: white naped yuhina(rare), Mountain Hawk-Eagle, Flycatchers,
Babblers,Himalayan cutia ,Green cochoa ( possibilities at mid Feb to march)
Return to Latpanchar for lunch.
Afternoon birding at Latpanchar trails.
Overnight at Latpanchar.

Day 4: Latpanchar to Rongtong (≈ 55 km / 2 hrs)

Early morning check-out, birding stops along the way and breakfast will be on the way
Arrive at Rongtong (Sukna), the foothill entrance of Mahananda WLS.
Lunch at homestay.
Afternoon birding in Rongtong forest.
Target species: Forktails, Racket-tailed Drongo, Scarlet Minivet, Owls.
Overnight at Rongtong / Sukna.

Day 5: Full-Day Birding at Rongtong

Morning & afternoon birding in subtropical forest & riverine habitats.
Key species: Broadbills, Forktails, Woodpeckers, Puff-throated Babbler, Asain barred
owlet. Collared falconet. Great Hornbill
Overnight at Rongtong / Sukna.
All meals will be either in hotel /homestay

Day 6: Departure – Rongtong to Bagdogra (≈ 25 km / 1 hr)

Optional morning birding session (if time permits).
Breakfast at homestay /packed breakfast
Drive to Bagdogra Airport / NJP Railway Station.
Tour ends.
